I work as a bookkeeper for a small Carnegie library.

I never shared my work with anyone except a few friends. They urged me to write and show instead of write and hide. Thanks to those friends, I now have the courage to show others what has been inside of me for so long.

During the submitting process, I discovered work by fantastic writers I might never have had the pleasure of viewing, but places where I could see their work were very few.

I decided to create a place where I would enjoy visiting everyday to see quality work by writers who have remained hidden over the years.

I am co-editor of Shoots and Vines Zine. We have a great team of folks who love to read and want to promote underground writers who haven't made it to the mainstream (and even if they do we will still love them).

I hope you enjoy our zine.
